Career Guidance Assessments

I offer individual career guidance assessments to adolescents and young adults.  I have found that learners in Grade 11 and 12 benefit most from this service.  However, Grade 10 learners who are reconsidering their subject choices also benefit from such an experience.  The assessments aim at developing the individual's self-knowledge and insight, as well as their knowledge about the world of work and career opportunities.

A typical individual career assessment starts with an intake interview.  This is followed by a psychometric assessment of approximately 1 1/2 hours that focuses on career maturity, personality, interests and work-related values. This process is then followed by a feedback session and a written report.

Subject Choice Assessments

With regards to subject choice in Grade 9, learners are faced with a significant decision which often affects the path their career journey will take.  Such a decision is best supported by in-depth personal exploration and up-to-date information regarding tertiary entrance requirements involving subjects so that an informed decision is made.

A typical individual subject choice assessment starts with an intake interview with the individual and their parent/s.  This is followed by a psychometric assessment of approximately 1 1/2 hours that focuses on personality and interests. This process is then followed by a feedback session and a written report.
